IT Support Centurion: What They’ve Revealed About Themselves

IT support is an important part of all organizations and I understand that the people who work in IT are definitely incredibly unique and a little bit strange! Not to mention they are a diverse community of individuals who do great work on the job, but also leave time for hobbies and weekend activities (when they can pull themselves away from the computer screen).

I thought it would be a great idea to take a look at the interests of the IT Support Centurion team at The Computer Guyz in Centurion. So, I recently surveyed the IT professionals to find out more..

What I found out is that while most interests varied, one thing is certain – they are a very dedicated bunch. Almost half of the IT support guys I surveyed spend between 40 and 60 hours at work each week, that’s a lot higher than any average employee, but then again these guys cannot be called average.

The data I collected from the survey also confirmed that IT support is actually an incredibly sociable and active family of people with a wide variety of different ventures, interests and general likes. And, yes, most of them confirmed that IT is both their job and their hobby, a small percentage said they like to spend as much of their free time as far away as possible from computers.

More than half of the IT support team in Centurion blur the line between hard work and leisure by spending time off the clock updating their own IT, playing online games, exploring the depths of the internet and learning new  software or programming languages.

So it confirms what we’ve always thought, even with the never ending difficulties and challenges facing the IT support team at The Computer Guyz in Centurion every day, it takes many different personalities and talents to ensure that everything runs properly in an IT company.
